Synopsis

The North East England regional image campaign led by Regional Development Agency One North East, is working to position North East England as a great place to do business, invest, visit, live, work and study.

We created the campaign ‘North East England. Passionate People, Passionate Places’ to drive all these agendas under a single brand truth about North East England. We promoted new growth industry sectors including offshore wind power and low carbon vehicles. We were highly creative with use of media to make maximum bang for minimum buck.

And boy, did it work. The campaign was business-led with over 1000 organisations from North East England signing up to actively adopt the new North East England brand in their own marketing activity. This ringing endorsement helped make the paid-for campaign spend go even further - as well as building local advocacy and buy-in.

Exposure to the campaign has doubled awareness about the region for people from outside. Confidence and advocacy within the region have increased dramatically.
